Ballet lessons
Ballet should be the first dance class that we attend, as it is a good base for most types of dance. Established in the Courts of King Louis XIV in France it has become popular with children and adults all over the world. Although ballet still retains the basic principles of turn out and weight placement it is now taught with a more free approach practising feeling before form. This means that students are not spending hours on the spot getting steps right but feeling the step through the movement.
Ballet is good practise for posture, co-ordination, body awareness, muscular strength, and focus. All of these elements combined with music and group participation, make it a great recreation for a healthy body and mind and for having fun.
