Visiting us safely during the COVID-19 pandemic:

For adults and dancers over 11 (Yr7) masks are recommended in communal spaces such as changing rooms and corridors.

Masks may be worn throughout classes if dancers wish; those in Y7+ will need masks in their kit bag in case of teacher request.

Teachers will continue to wear masks where they feel this is necessary.

Parents and Dancers are requested to observe social distancing whenever possible. Dancers should pay attention to the requests of teachers in terms of spacing in the studio.

Dancers aged over 5 are still requested to attend classes with their own sanitiser and tissues and we will encourage regular sanitising of hands.

Teachers will continue to sanitise touch points between classes so please be patient with small delays.

Spaces will be well-ventilated so please ensure that children have appropriate warm layers.

We no longer have a formal one-way system in place however we request that parents collect from the Pound Courtyard (Studio & Rehearsal Room classes) or at the Auditorium side door unless in extreme weather as this reduces congestion and keeps us all safer.

From 16 August, people who are fully vaccinated or aged under 18½ no longer need to self-isolate if they’ve had close contact with someone who has COVID-19. However, it is essential that you do not come to class or enter the venue if you have any COVID-19 symptoms. These are:

  •  a high temperature
  • a new, continuous cough
  • a loss of, or change to, your sense of smell or taste.

If you have one or more of these symptoms you should not attend any dance or sporting activity, even if your symptoms are mild. You should follow NHS guidance on testing and self-isolation. We request that dancers and teachers undertake weekly lateral flow testing. We don’t need to know about negative results, but please let us know of any positive test results as promptly as possible.
