Into the Woods June 2022 Show Information

We are seeking volunteers for chaperone and backstage duties. Please contact lucy@pbsdance.co.uk if you would like to volunteer. We will ensure that you still get to watch the production!

When and where is the show?

Younger children in Ballet Pre-school, Pre-Primary, Primary are taking part in pre-recorded performances that are integrated in the show. You will have a special email and paper flyer with these dates. (Please look for an email with ‘filming info’ in the title)

Is my child needed for extra practices?

Most of the rehearsing is done during lessons.

Children in Ballet Grade 1, Modern & Tap Level 1, Modern Level 3, Contemporary Level 1 and above are required to attend on Saturday 21st May. (Please look for an email with ‘Important Info and Dates’ in the title). This rehearsal is held at the Pound.

Children in Y5 and over are required on Thursday 2nd June and timings are still being refined. We anticipate arrival at approx 3pm, younger dancers collection approx 6pm, with older dancers staying on after 6pm for more time to rehearse on stage. A cafĂ© may be available on site. This rehearsal is held at The Kingswood Theatre

How do I buy tickets, and how do I know which show to buy for?

Tickets on Sale from The Pound Box Office Monday 25th April. Tickets can be purchased by phone or in person.

Most children in Y5 and above are in every show (3 shows). Younger children are in 1-3 shows depending on their class. Please refer to your email ‘Production Invoice’  for clear details of which shows your child is taking part in and which tickets to purchase.

Should I stay backstage with my child at rehearsals and shows?

No, we have a super team of staff and volunteers who help keep the children safeguarded and supervised and help them get ready to perform.

What do we need to bring?

Can we keep the costumes?

Costumes are property of Pound Ballet School. We keep costs to families down by providing at a very low hire-fee. Costumes are not currently for sale though we do hire some costumes out on request.
